이번 공모는 한국 뿐 아니라 미국, 영국, 일본 등 다양한 나라에서 공모를 합니다.
공모의 주제는 자연(Nature) 입니다.
때로는 꽃이 꽃처럼 보이지 않아도, 나무가 나무처럼 보이지 않아도 괜찮습니다. 중요한 것은 자연을 바라보는 당신만의 시선과 생각, 감정, 그리고 그 안에 담긴 고유한 표현입니다.
누군가는 스쳐 지나갈 수도 있는 작은 낙서 같은 선, 서툴러 보이는 형태, 설명하기 어려운 상상 속 이미지 속에서도 Before the Name은 그 가능성을 찾아내고, 새로운 예술 작품으로 발전시켜 세상과 나누고자 합니다.
공모된 모든 작품들은 전시의 일부로 재해석되어 소개되며, 일부 작품은 아티스트와의 협업을 통해 독립적인 전시 작품으로 발전할 기회를 갖게 됩니다.

We are inviting creators from around the world to participate in our next exhibition. This open call welcomes submissions from Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and beyond.
The theme of this open call is Nature.
We are not looking for perfect drawings or realistic depictions of nature. What matters is your perspective, your thoughts, emotions, imagination, and personal way of seeing the natural world.
At Before the Name, we are interested in the creative expressions that others might overlook: a simple line, an imperfect shape, a spontaneous sketch, or an image that exists only in the artist's imagination. Within these marks, we see the potential for something meaningful.
All submitted works will be reinterpreted and presented as part of the exhibition experience. Selected works may also have the opportunity to evolve into larger collaborative pieces or standalone artworks through collaboration with artists.
A single drawing can become an artwork. An artwork can meet an audience and inspire new stories.

BTN (Before the Name)은 아이들의 순수한 선을 기념(Celebrate)하고, 아티스트와의 협업을 통해 아이들이 스스로 자신의 길을 찾아 나갈 수 있는 기회의 장을 마련하고자 합니다.
이번 작품 공모의 가장 중요한 목적은 ‘어른들의 개입이나 가공이 전혀 들어가지 않은, 아이만의 순수한 작품’을 만나는 것입니다. 아이들에게 스스로 표현할 수 있는 완벽한 기회를 주는 것, 그것이 아이들의 무한한 창의성을 깨우는 가장 큰 열쇠라고 믿기 때문입니다.
