내 아트가 도심의 건물 벽을 장식해 도시의 일부가 되는 순간을 상상합니다. 이 작품은 이름 없는 작가의 작업이 공공의 시선 속에 자리하게 된 언젠가를 가정하여 인공지능 툴로 제작된 이미지입니다. 이를 통해, 아티스트의 작품이 도시 풍경과 만나 공유와 공감을 이루는 가능성을 상상해 봅니다.
I imagine a moment when my artwork becomes part of the city, covering the walls of urban buildings. This image was created using AI tools to envision a future where the work of an anonymous artist finds its place within the public eye. Through this, I explore the possibility of art becoming part of the urban landscape, creating moments of sharing and connection with people.
When the art speaks before the artist
This is a “mystery exhibition” where the artist’s name is not revealed. Visitors experience the artwork first, without any information. At the end of the exhibition, the artist is revealed. This process invites us to rethink how we see and judge art.

Before the Name의 첫 번째 전시,
에피소드 1은 ‘친구’를 주제로 합니다.
전시에서는 친구의 다양한 모습을 담은 일러스트와 인스톨레이션 작품들을 통해, 관람객들이 각자의 ‘친구’에 대해 떠올리고 생각해볼 수 있는 공간을 만들어갑니다.
친구는 우리 주변의 사람만을 의미하지 않습니다.
어떤 순간에는 장소, 기억, 혹은 사물 또한 우리에게 친구처럼 다가오기도 합니다.
이 전시는 사람과 사람 사이를 넘어, 우리가 세상과 맺는 다양한 연결에 대한 이야기를 담고 있습니다.

Friends
The first exhibition of Before the Name,
Episode 1 explores the theme of “Friends.”
Through illustrations and installation works portraying different forms of friendship, the exhibition creates a space where visitors can reflect on their own meaning of “friend.”
A friend is not only a person around us.
At certain moments, a place, a memory, or even an object can also feel like a friend.
Beyond relationships between people, this exhibition reflects on the many different connections we form with the world around us.

또한, 캐나다 초청 사진작가 Natalia Dolan의 작품도 전시의 일부를 함께 구성합니다.
작가는 캐나다를 비롯한 세계 여러 나라에서 여성들의 세대 간 우정을 기록한 글로벌 사진 시리즈, The Girl Friends Project를 선보입니다.
이 작업은 여성들의 삶과 그들이 속한 공동체 안에서 중요한 힘이 되는 우정의 기쁨과 의미를 이야기합니다.

The exhibition presents The Girl Friends Project, a global photography series documenting intergenerational friendships between women from Canada and around the world.
The project explores the joy and meaning of friendship as an important source of strength within women’s lives and the communities they belong to.

함께해준 친구들
이번 전시를 준비하면서 문득 돌아보니, 제 주변에는 오랜 시간 응원해주고 도움을 주고, 때로는 좋은 영감과 기회를 나눠준 사람들이 참 많았습니다. 전시를 준비하는 과정 속에서도 뜻밖의 감사한 인연들 또한 자연스럽게 만들어졌습니다.
그래서 작은 감사의 마음으로, 저의 여정에 함께해준 친구들과 그분들을 이 공간에 함께 소개합니다.
As I prepared for this exhibition, I realized how many people around me have supported, helped, inspired, and shared opportunities with me over the years. Along the way, this exhibition also brought many new and meaningful connections into my life.
As a small gesture of gratitude, I wanted to share some of the friends that have been part of my journey.
