When the art speaks before the artist
This is a “mystery exhibition” where the artist’s name is not revealed. Visitors experience the artwork first, without any information. At the end of the exhibition, the artist is revealed. This process invites us to rethink how we see and judge art.

‘작품이 먼저 말하다’
이 전시는 작가의 이름을 공개하지 않는 ‘미스테리 전시’입니다. 관람객은 어떤 정보도 없이 작품을 먼저 마주하게 됩니다. 전시의 마지막에 작가의 이름이 공개되며, 이 과정을 통해 우리는 예술을 어떻게 바라보는지 다시 생각해보게 됩니다.
이 전시는 하나의 간단한 실험으로 시작됩니다. 관람객은 작가의 이름이나 배경을 알기 전에 작품을 먼저 마주합니다. 전시를 관람하는 동안 작가의 정체는 공개되지 않으며, 관객과 작품 사이에는 오직 선, 색, 형태, 그리고 그 안에 담긴 이야기만이 남습니다.
우리는 종종 작품보다 먼저 작가의 이름과 이력, 그리고 시장의 평가를 접합니다. 하지만 이러한 정보가 사라질 때 작품은 전혀 다른 방식으로 우리에게 다가옵니다.
세상에는 아직 널리 알려지지 않았지만 강한 감각과 이야기를 지닌 수많은 젊은 예술가들이 존재합니다. 때로는 아이들의 그림처럼 즉흥적이고 다듬어지지 않은 선 속에서도 놀라울 만큼 솔직한 표현의 힘이 발견됩니다. 이 전시는 바로 그 가능성에 주목합니다.
전시의 마지막 순간, 그동안 익명으로 존재했던 작가의 이름이 공개됩니다. 작품을 먼저 경험한 뒤에야 작가를 알게 되는 이 과정은 우리가 예술의 가치를 무엇으로 판단하는지 다시 생각하게 만듭니다.
이 프로젝트는 아직 충분히 조명받지 못한 작가들의 작품을 새로운 시선으로 소개하고, 작품과 관객이 편견 없이 만날 수 있는 열린 공간을 만들고자 합니다.
This exhibition begins as a simple experiment. Visitors encounter the works before knowing who created them. During the exhibition, the identities of the artists remain undisclosed, leaving only the lines, colors, forms, and the stories within the works between the artwork and the viewer.
In the art world, we often encounter the artist’s name, biography, or market value before we encounter the work itself. When those layers are removed, the artwork begins to speak in a different way.
There are countless artists whose voices remain unseen. Sometimes even the spontaneous, unpolished lines of a child’s drawing reveal a surprising honesty and expressive strength. This exhibition focuses on that possibility.
Only at the final moment of the exhibition are the artists revealed. Encountering the work before knowing the artist invites us to reconsider what truly shapes the value of art.
The project introduces artists who have not yet received wide recognition and creates an open space where artworks and audiences can meet without preconception.
내 아트가 도심의 건물 벽을 장식해 도시의 일부가 되는 순간을 상상합니다. 이 작품은 이름 없는 작가의 작업이 공공의 시선 속에 자리하게 된 언젠가를 가정하여제작된 이미지입니다. 비록 실제가 아닌 연출된 이미지이지만, 아티스트의 작품이 도시 풍경과 만나 공유와 공감을 이루는 가능성의 꿈을 꾸어봅니다.
I imagine a moment when my work adorns the walls of the city and becomes part of its landscape. This image is a speculative visualization created by imagining a time when an anonymous artist’s work enters the public eye. Though not real, it reflects a possibility of art meeting the urban environment and fostering shared experiences and connection.
